Summer Sketchbook 2014

As a teacher and an artist, notebooks are kind of my thing.  I love keeping lists, calendars, ideas, and drawings in a contained and beautiful little book.  It's a problem.  I have a box in my office full of notebooks that have lots of empty pages, but I still buy new ones anyway.  [Is there a group I can join to help with this??]

ANYWAY, I've done a really good job of keeping my musings in one place this summer, so I've decided to share a glimpse into my summer sketchbook.  I got this on July 16, but it's already almost halfway full!  I've had a great time trying out lettering this summer, and I've also enjoyed honing in my illustrating style.

I hope you enjoy this little peek into my sketchbook...
And sometimes you use sketchbooks to vent and share the truth. ;)

I'm the same way with notebooks! Looks like you have this one well on its way to be filled up though :)

Thank you for the comment Jamie! I can't explain that "new notebook effect", but filling up a notebook all the way is very satisfying too!
