Starting a Smoothie Journey

So, I'm home having a snow day [!], the yearbook is finished, and I'm all caught up on photo editing.  Naturally I'm at a loss for what to do with myself, so I've decided to do some blogging!  I have enjoyed making smoothies on and off since my college days working at Port City Java.  I made so many tasty juice-based smoothies in those days, and I've always tried to figure out how to make dairy-based smoothies just as satisfying and sweet.

I'm starting some intense smoothie experimentation at the moment, so I'm trying TONS of recipes!  If you visit my Food & Fun Pinterest board HERE, you will find several smoothie pins ready for the taking.  I have a few easy recipes that I am planning on making even healthier/cost efficient as I go to the grocery store, but I thought I'd share a couple!  I have most of these ingredients on-hand all of the time, which is why I've chosen things like blueberry Chobani instead of plain.  I don't have plain, but I have a stock pile of blueberry thanks to sales!
Here we go...

Strawberry Peach
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen peaches
1 peach Chobani [Greek yogurt]
1 whole banana [I didn't freeze mine, and it wasn't super ripe either.  Just getting some little brown spots]
Handful of spinach leaves
3/4 cup of V8 Fusion Light Peach Mango [another thing that I just happened to have already]
Blend! [Makes a big smoothie!]

3/4 cup frozen blueberries
4 ice cubes
1 blueberry Chobani [these have a lot of sugar, so I'm planning on using plain in the future]
1 whole banana
1/2 cup vanilla soy milk [mine is sweetened, but I plan on buying unsweetened next time]
Handful of spinach leaves

3/4 cup frozen blueberries
3 frozen strawberries
1 whole banana
Big handful of spinach
1 blueberry Chobani [see above]
3/4 cup vanilla soy milk

ALL of these are delicious, and my very picky husband guzzled them up...spinach and all.  I'm planning on adjusting my grocery list to cut down on the sugars, but I still think these are great "beginner"/no fail smoothies!
