Finally Friday

Hello there!  Here are some images of student work and more of my ride home!

In 5th grade, we have been studying the Legend of 1,000 Paper Cranes from Japan.  Students made cranes and wrote wishes on them.  I am in the process of hanging them all up.

3rd grade has been working on jungles...many of them were more realistic than this one, but I thought this was brilliant :).

1st grade worked on shape compositions this week...chicken anyone?

Today I'm hoping to put some of what I learned at the Harry Wong/Marcia Tate conference to work.  I have a bunch of planning, printing, making, and doing to do.  Have a fantastical Saturday!

Week 3 of teaching: complete
I think I'm already starting to catch some cold type of thing from the kids.  I use hand sanitizer constantly and wash my hands too, but there are so many kids, so many hugs, and so many germs!  I ran out of creamer this morning so thank goodness for McDonalds and large coffee cups.  Have a marvelous Friday night!

I love my friends

I got to see all of my friends yesterday that I have missed so much since this summer.  I love my friends and I already can't wait to see them again!  I got to visit UNCG, some kittens, my friends, and we had a cookout with ping pong! Best night I've had in a while!

Happy Wednesday

Today I got so much organizing done at school.  I have a huge folder for my materials and I added some pockets.  I finally took some pics of things around my room.  I have a map that I'm going to fill up as we study artists and cultures around the world.  Tomorrow and Friday I go to my other school and then no school Monday; and I am so excited to catch up my friends this weekend!
