Christmas in June

So in August I bought a Nikon D-40 and when I bought it I got a camera bag and an extra lense for $100. [some kind of special] With my very small knowledge of digital slr cameras, I thought the lense was just an extra [in case I broke the one that came with the camera]. I went home [never opened the box] and put the lense box under my bed. I decided to get it out from under my bed this morning and I found out that it was NOT a replacement lense! It was a zoom lense and a lense hood!!! I can NOT believe that I had that lense and hood under my bed for 8 MONTHS. It was like Christmas this morning!!!
